Tour the Zuishin’an Tearooms at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington (JCCCW) on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00-2:00PM. We are located on the 2nd floor of the East Building above the Hosekibako Resale Shop. The entrance is through the green door in the alley behind the building. Reservations are not required and Tours are free with a complementary bowl of matcha courtesy of King County 4Culture. February to mid-December, except April 27-28, and August.

The late Ohki Sōgen Roshi, of Ryobō’an Temple in Chiba, Japan, bestowed upon our tearooms the name Zuishin'an. The first character, "Zui," embodies notions of liveliness, freshness, luck, and joy. The middle character, "shin," represents the heart-mind, while the third character signifies hut or hermitage.

We are grateful to King County 4Culture for their support for the tearoom construction and the Tearoom Tours and the Four Seasons Tea Ceremony events.
