The East-West Chanoyu Center is a nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization established in Seattle by the Urasenke Foundation of Kyoto, in cooperation with the University of Washington and the Washington Park Arboretum Foundation Seattle Japanese Garden, to share the art and culture of Chanoyu.

Through partnerships that include the University of Washington, Seattle Art Museum and the Everett Community College Nippon Business Institute we bring Chanoyu programs to the regional community.

Chanoyu classes, seasonal tea events, and workshops are held in private and public tearooms in Bellevue and Seattle.

Call or email to make an appointment to visit a tea class,  Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00AM-4:00PM.
